English  as a Second Language

This  program offers twelve sessions of English instruction to non-English speaking  and those with limited a limited knowledge of English. 

Our first classes  started in 2001 and have been continuing since:

Registration for Adult ESL Classes

On Wednesdays, February 8 and 15, students will be registering and tested for the Spring 2012 semester of Adult ESL Classes at Care on the Corner, 229 Terrace Avenue (the corner of Jefferson and Terrace Avenues) in Hasbrouck Heights.

All new and returning students must be registered to take the classes. New students must take an informal language assessment test. The classes start Wednesday, February 29th and will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The last class will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012. 

The ESL classes will provide English language instruction at beginner, intermediate, and
advanced levels, as well as one-to-one instruction, to people from other countries and other language backgrounds.
 
For more information about the adult ESL program or to register a student, please call the office at 201-288-9460. A registration form must be completed for each student.. There is non-refundabe $15 processing fee. Financial assistance is available.

Books will be available for purchase at the time of registration.
