About the Sign Language Classes

Learn to communicate with your hands in a strategic and fun fashion. In this ten week course, two hours each session, you will learn the fundamentals of sign language in Signed Exact English (SEE). By the end of the course you will be amazed at the hundreds of signs that you will have been taught. In addition, you will learn about Deaf culture and history that will give the signer a better perspective of how Deaf people communicate.

Each participant will receive a Sign Language instructional manual as well as additional handouts relating to sign language and deafness. Key to this class is to have fun while learning another language that is unique in comparison to other oral and audio-based languages.

On Monday nights,
starting February 27, 2012

On Monday nights, starting February 27, 2012 Care on the Corner will be offering Communicating With Your Hands (a sign language course). The classes will be held in the sanctuary of St. John's Episcopal Church, 229 Terrace Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights.

Registration Form

Classes continue for ten weeks on Monday nights, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. You will be learning the fundamentals of sign language in Signed Exact English (EE). There is a materials fee of $50. This includes a manual, which was created by the instructor and weekly handouts.
